Administration and management

One of the bases of cooperative activities is democracy. Each co-op member can participate in S Group's decision-making through their own cooperative.

Co-op members own the 21 regional cooperatives and 8 local cooperatives of S Group. They, in turn, own the central firm SOK,which is a Finnish cooperative whose highest decision-making body is the Cooperative Meeting.

The purpose of S Group is to offer versatile services and an extensive network of outlets to its members – in other words, its two million co-op members all over Finland. The starting points of all S Group's operations are the service needs of its co-op members and the strive to make their everyday life easier.
